This Week's Featured Recipe: Crispy Baked "Fried" Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts

  • 1 cup almond flour

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 egg whites

  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C), prep baking tray with parchment and spray.

  2. Mix almond flour, paprika, garlic, onion powder, turmeric, salt, and pepper in a dish.

  3. Whisk egg whites until frothy in another dish.

  4. Dip chicken in egg whites, then in almond flour mixture.

  5. Place on baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes until crispy.

  6. Serve with a low-calorie sauce or fresh salad.
