Hello again,
It's Jennifer here with another exciting recipe to enhance your weekend meals. This time, I'm bringing you something special: our Spicy Turkey Chili. It's not only a delicious comfort food but also a fantastic way to boost your metabolism.
Spicy Turkey Chili Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey (lean)
1 large onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes, no salt added
2 tbsp tomato paste
2-3 tbsp chili powder (adjust to taste)
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (or more, for extra metabolism boost)
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: 1 jalapeño, finely chopped (for extra heat)
Fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime for garnish
Instructions:
In a large pot, cook ground turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the pot. Cook until vegetables are softened.
Stir in beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, and jalapeño (if using). Season with salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. The longer it simmers, the better the flavors will develop.
Garnish with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime before serving.
